Vadodara: Union minister of state for panchayati raj, Prof S P Singh Baghel, attended the valedictory ceremony of the Leadership and Management Development Programme (MDP) at the Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) on Friday. IRMA had conducted the MDP for elected representatives and ministry of panchayati raj (MoPR) officials. The objective of the programme was to upgrade the leadership and managerial skills of the community leaders for effective panchayat governance.

The five-day programme had started on Aug 19. IRMA faculty members conducted sessions for over 35 participants who came from Gujarat, Telangana, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) chairman Meenesh Shah, who is also the chairman of IRMA, and IRMA director Umakant Dash were present at the valedictory ceremony.
