ASHTABULA TOWNSHIP — Five Below, the popular retail chain, has officially opened its doors at 2102 Metcalf Dr. Friday’s grand opening marked a new chapter for the community, bringing a fresh shopping destination that will to cater to a wide range of customers. Adriana Summers, store manager, said the customers have been enjoying the new store.

“So far, we’ve been doing really great,” Summers said. “Business has been awesome, and I’m very happy with the turnout. We’ve received nothing but positive feedback so far.

” Visitors to the new Five Below location like how organized and large it is. “People are telling us that our store is massive and super clean,” Summers said. “I hope we can maintain that standard.

The response has been overwhelmingly positive.” Store Associate Kim Goebel said that customers like the lower prices. The store offers a wide range of products, all priced at $5 or less.

“Five Below is a teen and tween-based store, but we welcome people of all ages,” said Summers. “We’re definitely up with the trends and make sure we stay current with what’s popular.” Visitors and locals are excited about the new addition to their shopping options.

Ashtabula resident Jordan Bevins said she is happy to have a Five Below location nearby “I just saw the store open and I love it,” she said. “I really like the products they always have, ..

. there are always cool things that the kids enjoy finding. The selection is great.

I like that I don’t have to drive all the way to Niles anymore. It’s nice having this one closer.” Conneaut resident Danielle Sigley was doing some back-to-school shopping for her kids.

“We usually go to the Erie store, so it’s great having one closer,” she said. “We’re here for back-to-school items since the kids start next week. They want to decorate their lockers for 6th grade and pick up some beauty products.

We also like the toys and pet stuff they have. It’s nice to find everything we need in one place, and the cheer shoes are a bonus.” Eastlake resident Chelsea Wheeler had a couple of yoga mats in her cart.

“We’re here for a work trip at Family Pride of Northeast Ohio, doing a health and wellness type of group, focusing on how fitness can aid mental health,” she said. “We’re encouraging physical activity and planning a yoga session to help with anxiety and depression. I also enjoy coming here because they have cute little things I can get for kids.

” Ashtabula resident Elitra Lloyd said she goes to Mentor just for Five Below. Lloyd was buying a new megaphone for the Browns game. “This one’s super organized,” she said.

“Like, I know it just opened and everything, but they just have the most random cool stuff that we can get.” Having a Five Below closer to home seems to be making things more convenient for local residents. Joe Pete, Ashtabula Township trustee, said he thinks it’s a nice addition to the community.

“Having a Five Below in Ashtabula is fantastic,” said Summers. “I think everyone is really happy to have this store here. We’ve already seen a lot of traffic and enthusiasm from the community.
