Fans have been given the first look at the final ever car adventure for Richard Hammond , Jeremy Clarkson and James May together - on the road in Zimbabwe for one last time. The former Top Gear stars now front The Grand Tour which comes to an end on September 13, marking the end of 22 years working together on the show. Before that, they had also been on BBC's Top Gear for over a decade.

In their last adventure, Jeremy, Richard and James ignore the instructions of show boss Mr Wilman and head to Zimbabwe in three cars they've always wanted to own, a Lancia Montecarlo, a Ford Capri 3-litre, and a Triumph Stag. The trio go on a stunning road trip through beautiful and sometimes challenging landscapes leading to an emotional ending on a strangely familiar island. A new trailer released today shows Clarkson saying: "So for the last time, here we go.

" The song 'He Ain't Heavy He's My Brother' plays and the trio are shown laughing and joking together, it ends with the words 'One For The Road' appearing. In November 2023, the news broke that Jeremy, 64, along with James and Richard had wrapped up what is to be their concluding chapter to the much-loved show. Taking to X, formally Twitter , Jeremy had already shared a teaser at their final instalment.

Fans flocked to the comments at the time, sharing their disappointment. "The last episode of the trio [salute emoji]," one wrote below new pub owner Jeremy's upload. "Actually going to miss you 3 messing about in cars Sir.

...

. Its been an absolute pleasure watching," another expressed. While someone else said in the comments: "This is it guys, end of an era" accompanied by a downcast emoji.

"Great news , great tv and all 3 back together. Can't wait," a fourth enthusiast chimed in. The series on Amazon Prime began in 2016 and has quickly become a fan favourite, yet it's been announced that the series will film no more series after a decision was made by the streaming platform's bosses.

Jeremy previously addressed the future of the show, as he told fans that there would be no more after next year. "Been a busy day. No more Grand Tour after next year but a LOT more Clarkson’s Farm.

Which, this evening, is looking extremely lovely," he penned on Instagram . Despite Clarkson's comment, it's thought Amazon Prime could continue The Grand Tour in the future. It's thought the streaming site will 'bring in new hosts'.

It's something the presenters are reportedly 'happy with'. An insider told The Sun: "It's a surprising decision and everyone realises it very much marks the end of an era for the three presenters. The Grand Tour is one of Prime Video’s most watched shows and Jeremy, James and Richard have a devoted following.

"But the guys have made no bones about the fact they're all advancing in years and they have lots of other projects to pursue. They just felt like the time was right and wanted to go out on a high when the show remained popular," the source explained. The Grand Tour: One for the Road launches globally from September 13 on Prime Video.
