The 49th PNG Independence celebrations for Lae ended with a beautiful fireworks display this evening. The official program was held at the Sir Ignatius Kilage Stadium during the day. Schools participated in marching and speeches were made by Morobe Governor Luther Wenge and Member for Lae John Rosso.
Activities to mark the day were also held throughout the city and the province including sports tournaments organised by youths and cultural shows..
