Firefighters tackled a car blaze in the early hours of this morning. The vehicle was fully engulfed in flames when crews arrived at Hobbs Recovery Service in Chaucer Business Park, Polegate, at 1.40am on Sunday, October 6.

Police were also at the scene and had been investigating a report that a business had been broken into in the same industrial estate. "Hydraulic lifting equipment was also deployed to assist in the firefighting effort. "The fire was successfully extinguished, no casualties were reported, and is under investigation.".
