Friday, November 8, 2024 Finnair, the Finnish national carrier, has embarked on an ambitious project to renovate the cabins of its Embraer fleet, a strategic move that promises an elevated passenger experience and greater environmental efficiency on shorter routes across Europe. The first of these refurbished cabins has already been completed, and the airline has set a goal to upgrade the entire Embraer fleet of 12 aircraft by spring 2026. This initiative will see seven of the Embraer jets transformed during the winter season of 2024-2025, with the remaining five scheduled for refurbishment in the following winter season.

The upgraded Embraer fleet will primarily serve routes within Finland and across Northern and Central Europe, where shorter flights are typical. By revitalizing the cabins of these regional aircraft, Finnair is delivering a fresh, cohesive aesthetic that aligns with its recently refurbished wide-body fleet and the newly designed Schengen lounge at Helsinki Airport. This consistency in design reflects Finnair’s dedication to providing a unified and comfortable atmosphere across all travel experiences.



The color scheme for the refurbished Embraer cabins draws on the same palette as Finnair’s long-haul fleet, characterized by calming dark blue and grey tones with accents of wooden laminate.
