Filming is wrapping up on “The Conjuring: Last Rites,” the fourth main entry in the franchise and the final outing for actors Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga as Ed and Lorraine Warren in their roles. Farmiga has shared a photo of she and Wilson as their characters in wedding attire for a prop framed photo on the set of the films. In the posting, she reflects on how both are wrapping work today and how it marks the end of an era – over twelve years the pair have inhabited their roles.

The main “Conjuring” films have scored quite positive reviews overall, and the pair’s chemistry and performances have received wide acclaim. It’s a pairing that will be missed by fans. The actors played the roles across not just the four main films but as supporting characters in “Annabelle Comes Home” and as cameos in “The Nun II”.

Here’s what Farmiga says in her posting: “Roundabout 5000 days ago, this guy and I signed a WB contract and said ‘I do’ to embodying Ed and Lorraine Warren. Today, he wraps. I have another 12 hours of laughter and insanity with him and then abruptly, he will walk off set, peel off sweat soaked demonologist garb, shave off his side burns, flash that dazzling smile and bid our fake marriage adieu.

Yeah...

I got them feels today. It was a match made in heaven, PWilz. A hell of an era.

Here’s to 12 years. I cherish you, [Patrick Wilson].” The new film also stars Ben Hardy and Mia Tomlinson though plot specifics are under wraps.
