A festive afternoon tea event is set to raise funds for St Ann's Hospice. The event, organised by the Little Hulton Volunteer Fundraising Committee, will feature a raffle, Santa's grotto, and a scavenger hunt. It will take place on Saturday, November 16, from 12pm to 3pm, at St Ann's Hospice in Little Hulton.
The two tea sittings will start at 12pm and 1.30pm. Organiser for the festive afternoon tea and member of the Little Hulton Volunteer Fundraising Committee, Gwyneth Viney, said: "The care that patients receive at St Ann’s is second to none and we are really proud of it here in our community.
"It would be brilliant if the people in our community were able to come together for this event on behalf of an incredible cause and enjoy some festive fun at the same time." The hospice receives approximately a third of its funding from the NHS , with the rest of the money required to operate both hospices coming from community support. Lucy Green, fundraising manager at the hospice, thanked the Little Hulton Volunteer Fundraising Committee for organising the festive afternoon tea.
She said: "Events like the festive afternoon tea mean the world to us here at St Ann’s Hospice. "They are vital for the cost of our ongoing care at both of our sites. "We can’t thank the Little Hulton Volunteer Fundraising Committee enough for their continued hard work.
" The hospice needs to raise approximately £20,000 every day to keep the doors open and to ensure that the patients receive the bes.
