SACRAMENTO, California — A federal grand jury has indicted Francisco Cornejo-Quezada, a 21-year-old from Watsonville, and Shawn Eric Morales Sr., 51, and Renee Michele Hermann, 54, both from Hood, on charges related to a methamphetamine distribution conspiracy. The indictment includes six counts, according to U.

S. Attorney Phillip A. Talbert.



Court documents reveal that the defendants are accused of conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute over 500 grams of methamphetamine. Morales and Hermann face additional charges of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. This case is the result of an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration and Homeland Security Investigations, with support from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, stated the source.

Sauvageau is prosecuting the case. If convicted, each defendant could face a minimum statutory penalty of 10 years in prison and a $10 million fine. Sentencing will be determined by the court, considering.
