The UK-born contestant was arguably one of the most entertaining people to ever appear on the dating show thanks to her hilarious one-liners and commentary, and ended up being Bachelor ’s second runner-up when she was sent home right before the finale. The BINGE reality series, which is hosted by fellow alum , features Krystal and her co-stars Ally Woodfall and Nicole Mitrov as they try to determine which of the 24 contestants are the ‘Nice Guys’ looking for love and who are the self-proclaimed ‘FBoys’ only there to play the game and win the prize money. Speaking with about her decision to join , Krystal admits she knew wouldn’t be the last time she appeared on reality TV. “I think for me, post- , it was an experience.
I had the best time, but it was also very traumatic,” she remarks. “I was like, wow, I really put myself out to the world, I was unapologetically myself, but it was kind of hard. So it took me a few months to kind of recalibrate because I've never been so vulnerable and put my emotions out there.
“But I was also like, with my personality type, I just love spontaneous things. It's just fun. Situations like being asked on a TV show, I'm like, ‘Yeah, f**k it, why not?’.
I knew wasn't the end for me, and luckily, I was still single guys. So it worked out perfectly!” She adds that her experience on put her in a “privileged position” where she knew what to expect when filming and she could offer advice to her co-stars. “Obviously, it's different being the lead,” she says.
“Being in the boys' position and being a contestant is hard because you're making friends with them, but they're also your competition. So it’s a really weird position to be in because you're kind of all dating the same person and it’s a bit of a mind f**k. “But for me it's like, okay, I've been on that side - don’t ever want to go there again - but now I'm in this position where I relate to the boys and I get it.
But also, I’m not going to take your s**t because you’re an FBoy.” When asked if she believes her former Bachelor Felix would be categorised as an ‘FBoy’ or ‘Nice Guy’ if he was on , she immediately responds without hesitation: “FBoy”. “Complete FBoy.
He screams FBoy,” she declares. “But the thing is about Felix, we actually got on really well. He means well, but when it comes to relationships, back then, he wasn't emotionally intelligent.
“I felt like he couldn't really handle me, I guess. To put it simply, he didn’t have the maturity levels. He couldn’t handle me, which is fair enough! But I’m glad it didn’t work out that way, because here we are now.
