He was serving as the non-executive Chairman of Mango at the time of his death. He founded Mango in Barcelona in 1984, turning it into one of Europe's leading fashion brands. Today, Mango operates stores in over 120 markets, with its 2023 sales surpassing $3.2 billion. The company is also expanding in the US, with 40 stores currently operating and plans to open 20 more next year.
