Hosted by White Rose Eclectics, the Fashion for Compassion Gala will showcase attire from Laurens Street establishments and celebrities. Well known Aiken models will feature clothing for both men and women. This gala is not just about fashion.

It is a fundraising event and is all about making a difference by supporting Aiken Equine Rescue and sharing the many different ways that they in turn support our Aiken community. Since its founding in 2006 they have become one of the largest horse rescues in the southeastern United States. Their mission has always been to rescue and rehabilitate horses that have suffered from abuse and neglect, re-purpose Off-the-Track Thoroughbreds, and take horses whose owners can no longer care for them.



Aiken Equine Rescue works with groups in the community to offer unique interactions with the horses. • PonyPals Camps: Children learn about horses, horse care and responsibilities in a fun, hands-on environment. More importantly, children learn core values of responsibility, patience, teamwork and compassion.

• Trust & Release: An interactive equine experience program provided to those affected by trauma. Specifically developed for Active Duty, Veterans (including families), First Responders and Battered Women’s Groups. • Veterans and active-duty, Leisure Days program: Working together on projects to accomplish something together as well as share camaraderie.

• County Outreach Programs: Hosting tours, dog walk groups, artist guild days, ch.
