Fantastic Fest has announced their lineup for 2024 including Terrifier 3, Legends of Vox Machina season three and V/H/S/Beyond . The Texas-based film festival revealed the lineup on Thursday for their 19th edition, which takes place from September 19th through the 26th in Austin, Texas. The festival will open with the world premiere of James Ashcroft’s thriller The Rule of Jenny Pen starring Geoffrey Rush, with Alexandre Aja’s psychological horror-thriller Never Let Go starring Halle Berry as the opening night gala film.
Terrifier 3 will have its world premiere on the opening night as well. Meanwhile, the closing night film will be the world premiere of Hulu’s Mr. Crocket from Brandon Espy.
The festival will also feature a screening of the Netflix documentary Will & Harper starring Will Ferrell and Harper Steele, which will livestream to select nationwide Alamo Drafthouse locations. Among the other major studio films screening at the festival are Amazon MGM Studios and Blumhouse Television’s House of Spoils , Shudder’s V/H/S/Beyond , NEON’s Anora which won the Palme d’Or at Cannes, Mubi’s Bring Them Down , Paramount+’s Rosemary’s Baby prequel Apartment 7A , Sony Pictures International’s Dead Talents Society , DreamWorks Animation’s The Wild Robot , A24’s A Different Man , Netflix’s documentary The Remarkable Man of Ibelin , and IFC Films’ Memoir of a Snail . The first two episodes for season three of the Critical Role animated series The Legend of Vox Machina will also premiere there, as will the first two episodes of Peacock’s series Teacup .
