Formerly working in the construction industry, Robert Szabo has always had an interest in collectibles and buying and selling pre-loved items. After moving to the UK from Hungary, Robert decided to expand his hobby into a business and the Szabo family launched 'Vintage Valuables' on North John Street last December. This ranges from vintage board games to nostalgic films and video games, antique home goods to traditional artworks, old-fashioned dolls to pre-loved toys, and much more. Robert and Anastasia try to offer as varied offer as possible (Image: St Helens Star) While Robert tries to offer as many varied products as possible, he takes the most pride in selling rare and unique items that you "can't get anywhere else", such as antiquated gramophones, classic musical instruments, and grandfather clocks. And although the business is tucked away on the edge of the town centre, Robert said that he has had a great response from collectible enthusiasts in St Helens as well as online.
