Six months since Amazon debuted its “Fallout” TV series adaptation and the show has set a new record for the streamer. In a posting shared on the account of the series, it has been revealed that the adaptation has now been washed by 100 million viewers worldwide. That makes it only the second Amazon series to cross the 100 million viewer milestone.

The only other series to have done that so far is the first season of “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” which has reached over 150 million viewers worldwide since it debuted. That series also came with a much higher price tag. The first season of “Fallout” saw 65 million viewers tuning in over its first 16 days of release.

A side effect of this was that the “Fallout” games saw an increase in daily players of four-to-six fold. The show also received several Emmy nominations, winning two in tech categories. A second season of the series is already in the works.

The cast is led by Ella Purnell as vault-dweller Lucy, Aaron Moten as Maximus, and Walton Goggins as The Ghoul. The project hails from “Westworld” creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy while Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner are the showrunners. Source:.
