This year, the resort offers an array of returning favorites and exciting new experiences that cater to all ages, from light-hearted scares and family fun to celebrations of cherished traditions and timeless bonds. Halloween Time at Disneyland Park From August 23 to October 31, 2024, Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California, will be transformed into a spooky wonderland.

Guests can enjoy Halloween-themed attractions, meet beloved Disney characters and villains in their seasonal attire, and explore the park’s festive décor. The seasonal merchandise and delicious Halloween-themed treats will ensure there’s something for every ghost and goblin to enjoy. Highlights include new Halloween costumes for Mickey Mouse and his friends, the daytime debut of the “Mickey’s Trick and Treat” show at Disney California Adventure Park, and new autumn-themed dining experiences at the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort.



Plaza de la Familia and Día de los Muertos From August 23 to November 2, 2024, Disney California Adventure Park will honor Día de los Muertos with Plaza de la Familia. This celebration will feature lively entertainment, menu items inspired by Mexican cuisine, and more. Starting August 30, guests can experience “The Storytellers of Plaza de la Familia Celebrate The Musical World of Coco!”—a heartwarming show that brings the music and spirit of Pixar’s “Coco” to life.

Festive Dining and Merchandise This Halloween season, guests can indulge in a wide selection of food and beverages, including the new “Ghost” of Anaheim burger at Galactic Grill, the Mickey Mouse mummy shake at Schmoozies!, and the graveyard banana funnel cake at Stage Door Café. Additionally, the latest Disneyland Resort apparel, accessories, and Halloween merchandise will be available at locations like Elias & Co., Emporium, and World of Disney.

Evening Entertainment and Special Events As night falls, Disneyland Park comes alive with haunting atmosphere and thrilling entertainment. The “Halloween Screams” nighttime spectacular will feature projections of Disney Villains, spooky effects, and, on select nights, a spellbinding fireworks display. Guests can also enhance their experience with the MagicBand+* device, which lights up and pulses in time with the show.

The Disney’s Happiest Haunts Guided Tour** will also return for a limited time, offering a spooky stroll through Disneyland Park, complete with a special Haunted Mansion photo opportunity and reserved viewing for “Halloween Screams.” Disney California Adventure Park Over at Disney California Adventure Park, the Halloween décor is equally impressive, with the Headless Horseman statue on Buena Vista Street and eerie projections at night. Cars Land will transform into Radiator Screams, with seasonal makeovers for popular attractions like Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween, Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree, and Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark.

For the first time ever, “Mickey’s Trick and Treat” will be a daily offering at the Disney Theater, where younger guests can join Mickey, Minnie, and friends in a not-so-scary sing and dance-along. Downtown Disney District and Hotels of the Disneyland Resort The Halloween spirit extends to the Downtown Disney District and the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort, with themed décor, entertainment, and activities. Guests can participate in Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit***, a fun hunt for hidden Disney character-themed pumpkins, or admire the massive chocolate confectionery masterpiece inspired by the Queen from Snow White at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.

Goofy’s Kitchen and Storytellers Cafe will also join in the festivities with Halloween-themed décor and special dining experiences featuring Disney characters in their Halloween attire. Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party The sold-out Oogie Boogie Bash**** returns to Disney California Adventure Park on select nights from August 25 to October 31, offering ticket holders an exclusive evening of Halloween fun. Guests can enjoy attractions, special food and beverages, entertainment, and unique event merchandise, with highlights like the immersive Villains Grove, treat trails, and the “Frightfully Fun Parade.
