The series stars Emily Bader as Jane Grey and is penned by the talented duo Gemma Burgess and Meredith Glynn. It spins a tale of the famed historical figure, Jane Grey, but with a whimsical and amorous twist that strays from the dusty pages of history books.

Gemma and Meredith, the show's creators, provided Express.co.uk with a detailed list of the actual locations featured in the show alongside meticulously constructed sets.
"We were at Hampton Court Palace, we went to Great Chalfield Manor and Dorney Court," divulged Gemma. "We went to Broughton Castle, we went to Herstmonceux [and] Dover Castle. "And then we had wonderful sets.

50/50? ". Rob Brydon, part of the ensemble cast, expressed his excitement about shooting on location, reminiscing about having his personal castle. "The sets were so well realised that you felt like you were at [the real locations]," he recounted.
