While experienced trainer David Vandyke doesn’t have a runner in the main event, he is excited to see how his three-year-old gelding Noble Decree performs in The Dock Mooloolaba Quality (1400m). “He’s a very exciting horse that was quite an expensive purchase from New Zealand a couple of years ago,“ he said. “He’s only lightly raced with one start which was a second and I think he’ll appreciate running on his home track.

“Menazzi will run in the Mooloolaba Cup who is a very consistent runner,” Kendrick said. “He ran about six placings in a row and is a bit rough in the market but I think he’s running against similar horses to last start where he finished okay, just didn’t handle the quick back up. “He worked really well on Tuesday so I think he’ll run well and I’m looking forward to it.
