While Ranbir Kapoor has re-established his superstardom with the stupendous success of Animal , trade analyst Taran Adarsh, in an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama , opened up about the recent box office numbers of the superstar. As he traced the journey of actors, and how they bounce back after a string of flops, he cited Ranbir’s example who reached heights with the 2023 action entertainer. In the same breath, he also addressed filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga as a ‘genius’ director while discussing the success of Animal .
Speaking to Bollywood Hungama , Taran Adarsh revealed how every actor, including a megastar like Amitabh Bachchan, have always feared Friday box office. While addressing box office success of actors, he went on to speak about the success of Ranbir Kapoor as he went on to call him ‘as the next Shah Rukh Khan’. “I didn’t get a chance to watch Animal in the theatres or the preview screenings at T-Series.
I saw Animal on Netflix once first, then once more, and once again. I saw it thrice and every time I saw it, I felt it was a fantastic film. Anyone can judge me for it but I don’t care.
But I loved the film. Sandeep Reddy Vanga is a genius”, asserted the trade analyst. He continued, “Ranbir Kapoor is the next Shah Rukh Khan.
Having said that, Shah Rukh Khan has a different position. But Ranbir is something else. There is no actor, his age, with due respect to Ranveer Singh or Kartik Aaryan and many other actors who are his contempor.
