ACTOR Michael Emerson has revealed whether Evil will continue on another streaming platform ahead of the series finale. The supernatural drama ran for four seasons on Paramount Plus and will air its final episode on Thursday. Michael - who portrays Dr.

Leland Townsend in the thriller - sat down for an exclusive chat with The U.S. Sun about what to expect from the finale.

Evil, which premiered in 2019, is about a psychologist who joins a Catholic priest-in-training to investigate unexplained mysteries and phenomena within the church. Fans familiar with Michael's work weren't surprised that he was cast as the villain of the fictional series - a role he often plays and outstandingly delivers - and have been eager to see how the storyline wraps up. The LOST alum teased the show's ending follows the birth of baby Timothy, which Leland and many others believe is the Antichrist and a "product of a cross-fertilization between him and our leading lady.

Michael explained. NOT DONE YET? The TV star also hinted at the potential of another season airing on a different streaming service, although he admitted the move was "unlikely.

" "There's a movement among the fans of the show to make it go longer. But I think it's unlikely," Michael told The U.S.

Sun. "I don't know how I would even feel about, you know, sort of gearing back up and going back to work on this character. We'd have to see," Michael said about the possibility of a season five of Evil.

Most read in Drama "But they've done a clever job of writing and ending that is not too much closing the door on everything," he teased. Fans have expressed disappointment about Paramount Plus canceling the show and have pleaded with other networks to pick it up. "Still can’t believe that #EVIL is ending tomorrow.

"I’m so sad. This show is one of a kind, and I can’t believe it’s going to come to an end; We don’t want to say goodbye, we want more! Please someone save this show!!" said another. "See how it's the only @paramountplus show in the top 10? And yet they cancelled it.

.. #EvilSeries#SaveEvil" a third added, along with a meme that said, "Big mistake.

" "#Evil is the BEST show right now. It does not get nearly enough credit or attention. I'm grateful to have been on this wicked ride since season 1.

Everything on #EvilSeries is in top form. The writing, directing, acting, set design, etc. It can't end with S4.

#SaveEvil," remarked a fourth. I don't know how I would even feel about, you know, sort of gearing back up and going back to work on this character. "I don't know why they want to cancel the show Evil.

It's a great show," chimed in a fifth. Along with Michael and Katja, Evil's cast includes Mike Colter, Aasif Mandvi, Maddy Croco, Christine Lahti, Andrea Martin, Peter Scolari, and others. Katja also called for the series to get picked up by another platform upon hearing of its cancelation in February.
