On Friday, September 27, the crowds gathered at the Esplanade Saint Louis to catch glimpses of celebrities heading to the Loewe Spring/Summer 2025 show during Paris Fashion Week. The front row was star-studded, as usual, but took place in a setting far more minimalist than in previous seasons, with a single piece of artwork by British artist Tracey Emin as the sole decoration. This was a subtle way of letting the clothing speak for itself, without distracting the guests.
And for good reason, as the Loewe Spring/Summer 2025 looks had a lot to say. Jonathan Anderson delved into the craftsmanship of the house, founded in 1846 initially as an atelier and collective dedicated to leather making. Leather, the central element and very essence of Loewe was crafted into new curves.
These curves were also reflected in the set design and the strategic placement of guests at the room's center, outlining a radically minimalist approach that allowed the designs to express themselves in their purest form. Loewe: Unexpected curves and volumes against a backdrop of minimalism The timelessness of a floral dress, a summer essential, took on an unexpected dimension with circular arcs that gave it new volumes reminiscent of a neo-crinoline. At first glance, a simple merch-style T-shirt took on couture accents, embroidered with feathers, sometimes featuring the likenesses of great composers from Frédéric Chopin to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart to Bach , and at other times adorned with historical mast.
