Hold onto your parkas everyone – the most anticipated music reunion of all time could be about to happen as Liam and Noel Gallagher have sparked major speculation that Oasis will go on tour for the first time in years. The infamously feuding Mancunian brothers have been publicly at odds since a dramatic split in 2009 but have just dropped a major clue that they’ll finally return in 2025. Oasis shot to fame in 1994 with their debut album Definitely, Maybe, leading to a string of hits like Wonderwall and Champagne Supernova from their follow-up record.

A core part of the Britpop revolution, the duo topped charts for a decade before calling it quits after a bitter row in the late 00s — during which Liam damaged Noel’s guitar. Fans have been praying for a return ever since, but it seemed unlikely as the duo continued to rebuff rumours and throw barbs at each other over the next two decades. But millions have never given up hope and finally, it looks like the stars are aligning for the return of Oasis.

.. to huge fanfare.

In a shock twist, Liam, 51, complimented his 57-year-old brother over the weekend at Reading Festival and added to the growing reunion tour buzz , which experts claim could rake in over ‘£400 million’. Fans are beside themselves with anticipation, but what do we know about the most anticipated reunion in music history so far? Will Oasis go on tour in 2025 if they get back together? So far, the only thing confirmed is that the band is preparing for an announcement on August 27 at 8am. Many believe this will be a tour, with speculation of dates at Manchester’s Heaton Park and Wembley Stadium .

It’s reported the brothers could play up to 10 nights in their hometown and again in London in July next year, as well as possible gigs in Scotland. Glastonbury Festival has also been mentioned amid swirling rumours over what exactly the reunion will entail. The historic festival will take place on June 25, 2025, for four days before wrapping up and taking a year off — known as a fallow year.

And what better send-off before the break than a headline or legends slot from one of Britain’s most beloved bands? How much will tickets cost for the Oasis reunion? Tour prices have been an incredibly touchy subject for fans of late, with many artists criticised for charging hundreds of pounds for ‘nosebleed’ seats . Billie Eilish and Sabrina Carpenter have both come under fire for this, while Blink-182 fans were offered a meet and greet with Travis Barker for £2,000 — ticket not included. According to the Manchester Evening News , Oasis tickets will be priced at over the £100 mark for their highly-anticipated reunion.

In comparison, the UK legs of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour and Beyonce’s Renaissance Tour were priced at upwards of £170. Oasis tickets are reportedly going to go on sale a week after the announcement, likely sparking a huge scramble. Meanwhile, if you’re hoping to beat the crowds and possibly see them at Glastonbury, tickets will go on sale later this year for £355 plus a £5 booking fee.

Why did Oasis split in 2009? A now infamous falling out at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris in 2009 left Oasis in tatters and the brothers no longer on speaking terms. They were well known for huge arguments and tours dissolving but this backstage feud saw Noel walk away from Oasis for the final time. Liam reportedly damaged Noel’s guitar which led to the rift which lasted two decades but he has disputed that his behaviour was to blame.

Speaking to Radio X , the Supersonic singer claimed Noel ‘couldn’t handle the vibes any more’ and was ‘too scared of the rock ‘n’ roll’. Over the years, they have continued to throw barbs at one another, with Noel telling Rolling Stone in 2013 in no uncertain terms there ‘is no band’. He added: ‘No, I won’t be getting involved, anyway.

If there is a reunion, I won’t be in it.’ After Liam’s comments about an Oasis reunion ‘happening’, Noel said: ‘He should get his people to call my people to call my people. They know who they are.

They know where we are. ‘He’s got my manager’s number. Call us.

But you know what? He won’t call. Stop talking on the f***ing internet and let’s see what you’ve got to say.’ However, the brothers’ tune appears to have changed as on August 24, 2025, Liam wrote on X: ‘I never did like that word FORMER.

’ The tweet sent shockwaves through an already excited fanbase and has left music lovers in absolute bits. What have Oasis said about the reunion? Very little has been confirmed by Noel and Liam but they did share the announcement on social media. The band revealed their iconic logo flashing to the date and time of the announcement, but no comment was added by the brothers beyond Liam’s teasing tweets.

He also replied to people who weren’t keen on the reunion, telling them their ‘attitude stinks’ while praising excited fans as ‘biblical’. Liam shocked fans at Reading Festival on Sunday night when he dedicated the song Half The World Away to Noel. He called his brother the ‘greatest songwriter’ in a rare positive comment about his former bandmate.
