The F1 world is in a flurry with the reported reappearance of the legendary Michael Schumacher. The German former racing driver was reportedly seen at his daughter Gina-Maria Schumacher's wedding – his first appearance in the public eye in 11 years after a horror ski accident in the French Alps that reportedly left him unable to walk or talk properly. The experienced skier was crossing an unsecured off-piste area between Piste Chamois and Piste Mauduit on December 29, 2013, when he fell and hit his head on a rock.

Despite wearing a helmet, he sustained a traumatic head injury and was airlifted to hospital and underwent two surgical interventions before being put into a medically induced coma. He began to improve in March 2014 and by April he was gradually withdrawn from the coma. In November 2014, it was reported he was "paralysed and in a wheelchair" and that he "cannot speak and has memory problems", per The Telegraph . In May the next year, Schumacher's manager Sabine Kehm shared that "considering the severeness of the injury he had", the athlete was slowly improving. In September 2020, the family reportedly moved to Majorca, Spain , where his wife Corrine Schumacher set up a hospital in their home.
