.her passing was at Evergreen Care Home. Lyn included pseudonyms names for reasons of her own, including Lyn Paterson.

this is who most of us knew her by.. Lyn's travels in the early years, took her down a path of work, adventure and play.
After her McMasters university degree in genetics in Montreal...
she worked with fisheries, waitressing in New Zealand, as well, living in Australia Sydney and Moose Jaw as a cancer pathologist. Her experience also took her into the science libraries both at Ottawa and UBC. Coming back to Canada she met Stan Paterson.
..both living in Vancouver, then moved to Quadra for a lengthy time, before moving to Campbell River.
Lyn wore many hats, along with volunteered hours ...
to mention a few...
.she was a life long standing member of the CAC (Canadain Alpine Club), she was involved with the Birds Canada Waterbird Survey, Christmas Bird Count, Comox Valley Nature and volunteered on Mittlenach Island during nesting season. Lyn also was an amazing artist, as she inspired many of us.

"She would say, we all have a gift"" Her generosity was also felt by annually giving to our CR Art Gallery. In 2018 her artistic talent took her painting to the LT Governors House in Victoria, to this day her print is still at our Victoria Government's House. Lyn left her imprint on everyone she met.
Her smile, wisdom and agree to disagree personality was appreciated and respected. Her attachment and love for all species was present and her hobbies were vast, but her inherited love for birds was most important to her and Stan Paterson's..
..they were both married on June 1st, 1979.

Stan (deceased on Oct 8, 2013) While Lyn and her brother both grew up in Glasgow Scotland with their parents, at a young age is what's remembered...
with photos and memories. Evelyn Anne Farquharson Paterson is survived by her brother Alexander Mitchell Farquharson of 89 years of age, living in Melton Mowbray, Leiscestershire, UK , with his lovely wife and beautiful family..
..caring for him.
..with his dementia.
Lyn will be remembered by many of her long time and most recent friends, as well her living extended family. We all loved her dearly..
