THE GLACIER Hotel in Italy claims to be the highest in Europe, with guests only able to reach its dizzying heights on a cable car. Located near Maso Corto, one of the highest villages in Italy , the hotel welcomes guests throughout the year. Perched on top of a glacier at 3,212m above sea level, the Glacier Hotel makes for an interesting stay.

Hotel guests will need to get to Maso Corto where they can board the Val Senales cable car . Even before guests have checked into their rooms, they'll be able to take in the "exhilarating views"of the mountain landscape. Right outside the hotel lies the ski slope and high-alpine hiking trails for the hardiest of guests.

There are several different room options available to book, including a panorama-view double room, a family suite and a triple room. Each of the rooms has been furnished in an Alpine style with spruce wood.
