Thursday, November 21, 2024 European aviation leaders have issued an open letter to EU institutions and Member States, calling for a strong focus on decarbonizing the sector through a dedicated Industrial Strategy aligned with the Clean Industrial Deal. The appeal highlights the importance of integrating key proposals from the Draghi Report to enhance the bloc’s competitiveness. The aviation sector, represented by the Destination 2050 partners encompassing key stakeholders across the industry, is urging the establishment of a high-level, structured dialogue between the European Commission, Member States, and the aviation industry.

This collaboration aims to intensify efforts to achieve decarbonisation within Europe’s aviation sector.
