Friday, August 2, 2024 National Wellness Month, celebrated each August by hospitality destinations worldwide, offers travelers a chance to experience various healthy activities. These can include group yoga classes, pickleball lessons, individual weight training, nutritional guidance, hiking, and much more. According to Anne Dimon, owner/editor of Travel to Wellness and President/CEO of the Wellness Tourism Association, the key to traveling with a wellness purpose is for travelers to clearly identify their wellness intentions, motivations, and ultimate goals.

Whether the trip aims to maintain a healthy lifestyle, make healthier food choices, or develop a sustainable fitness routine, the destination should have the necessary staff and facilities to help achieve these goals. This recently opened all-inclusive wellness retreat in Bayfield, Wisconsin’s smallest town, is hosting several guided retreats during National Wellness Month. The resort features 19 beautiful glamping units, including The RicePod (a modern, tiny house-like dwelling), Nests (high-end retreat-in-nature lodging with lake views), and the TreeHause with four bedrooms and private baths.

The all-inclusive wellness experience includes “Nourishment, Movement and Expression” retreats from licensed practitioners, featuring activities like jewelry making, prose writing, photography, yoga, and more. Health-conscious meals and drinks are also included, along with access to the retreat’s sauna and meditation spaces. Inspired by the grand chateaus of France’s Loire Valley, this hotel features 504 guest rooms and suites, a well-equipped fitness center, and event spaces for gatherings.

In celebration of National Wellness Month, the hotel partners with local K-beauty retailer Besfren Beauty to provide guests with an exclusive self-care kit, including hand-selected items from top Korean skincare and lifestyle brands, for stays booked from July 11, 2024, to March 31, 2025. A haven for modern wellness, Park Hyatt Beaver Creek is a luxury resort located in the Rocky Mountains. The property boasts one of the top spas in the Rocky Mountain Region and a large hotel gym offering various fitness classes.

Exhale Beaver Creek, a destination spa within the hotel, features restorative treatments using natural elements for mind and body rejuvenation. The facility’s centerpiece is Aqua Sanitas, a hydrotherapy treatment modeled after ancient Roman baths. Guests can also enjoy hiking, biking, fishing, and golfing in the surrounding area.

Home to The Peninsula Spa, known for its results-driven treatments, the hotel enhances its wellness offerings throughout the property for National Wellness Month. This August, The Peninsula Beverly Hills introduces an In-Room Wellness Mini Bar in select specialty suites, featuring products like the Margy’s Monte Carlo iMask and the De-Liver-ance Antioxidant Elixir. The hotel also installs a Cold Plunge in the rooftop Spa Cabana, providing benefits like immune support, elevated energy, and stress relief.

La Concha Resort’s Elemara Salon & Spa offers an all-encompassing sensory experience, blending the essence of the elements with Latin culture. Set against a beachfront backdrop, the spa features seven treatment rooms, including two outdoor suites for couples. Each room is named after a unique crystal and offers ambient lighting, ocean views, and river stone-lined floors.

The Elemara Spa provides a luxurious wellness journey, combining beauty and cultural heritage. Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa on Florida’s Gold Coast is home to Eau Spa, a tranquil oasis devoted to relaxation, indulgence, and pampering. The spa offers treatments using products from luxury French lines Yon-Ka and Valmont, including Vitamin C25 facials and Self-Centered Massages.

Guests can begin their experience by making a wish with a candle at the Wishing Well and relax in the outdoor Self-Centered Garden with hanging chairs over a reflection pool..
