Ovington's coach was extremely proud of her dedication towards intense training leading up to the event. "Steph came to our centre as a volunteer and immediately had a connection with the horses," Ovington's coach said. "I encouraged to step outside her comfort zone and begin riding as a participant.

"As an RDA (NSW) accredited coach, I implemented some special needs equipment to accommodate her disability. "She suffered a stroke from a very young age which left her partially paralysed down the left side of her body. "Steph has exceeded well beyond hers and my expectations and it has been an honour to be part of her journey.
