Endeavour finale sees Sgt Morse sat on a bench in a churchyard with a gun Actor Shaun Evans, who is best known for his role as Inspector Endeavour Morse in ITV 's crime drama Endeavour , is set to appear on the BBC this weekend with a special guest appearance. The 44-year-old played the iconic character for 11 years from 2012 until the series concluded in 2023. Endeavour, which served as a prequel to other popular crime dramas like Inspector Morse and Lewis, was primarily shot in and around Oxford, similar to its predecessors.

With over a year since the final episode aired, fans have been curious about what Shaun Evans has been doing lately. The popular star, who was born in Liverpool, will be featured on BBC Radio 3's Words and Music programme, reading several pieces between 6pm and 7.15pm on Sunday, July 14.

Earlier this year in March, the actor made a return to Oxford to give a reading at Exeter College Chapel, where he also met with fans. But TV watchers can also see Shaun in his next major television appearance which is set to be in ITV’s new crime drama Until I Kill You alongside Line of Duty and Motherland star Anna Maxwell Martin.
