Wednesday, July 17, 2024 Accor India and InterGlobe Hotels , in partnership with the HOPE Foundation and InterGlobe Foundation, celebrated the graduation of students from the 2023 and 2024 cohorts at a special ceremony held at the Pullman New Delhi Aerocity. This event marked the successful completion of studies in the Nursing Assistant, Retail, and Hospitality sectors by over 130 participants, who were each presented with NSDC certificates. This initiative is part of a broader corporate social responsibility effort aimed at equipping young individuals from less privileged communities with skills for employability.
The collaboration between Accor India and the HOPE Foundation began in 2012 with the establishment of the ‘Accor Centre of HOPE,’ a commitment to assist those facing social and economic challenges. This alliance was further enhanced with the support of InterGlobe Hotels and the InterGlobe Foundation, which expanded the program’s effectiveness and scope. Together, these organizations have delivered a comprehensive training program encompassing three months of academic learning and three months of practical, hands-on experience.
The program culminates in an NSDC certification, offering participants a pathway to sustainable employment. The impact of these training initiatives is significant, with the transformation of the lives of over 220 young individuals from challenging backgrounds, and more than 150 of them securing employment. This success demonstrates the program’s effectiveness in breaking down social and economic barriers and fostering personal and professional growth.
