Emmerdale star James Moore has wed teacher Sophie Edwards in a beautiful Cotswolds ceremony - and the soap actor invited OK! to attend his big day. James, 32, is best known for playing Ryan Stocks on the ITV soap, a role which won him a National Television Award for Most Popular Newcomer when he joined the cast in 2019. Earlier this month, James tied the knot with his girlfriend Sophie - who is a teacher for children with special education needs - after five and a half years of dating.

Speaking to OK!, James said that being a married man feels "surreal". He added: "It was so busy and so intense, it’s nice to have a bit of time to ourselves." The pair married at Cheltenham's Manor by the Lake in a "magical" ceremony, surrounded by 100 friends, family and Emmerdale co-stars - including Emma Atkins (Charity Dingle) and Mark Charnock (Marlon Dingle).

They were joined on the guest list by Dominic Brunt (Paddy Kirk), Lawrence Robb (Mackenzie Boyd), Rachael Gill-Davis (Gail Loman) and Olivia Bromley (Dawn Fletcher). Meanwhile, Ash Palmisciano - who plays Matty Barton on the soap - was a member of James' groom's party. "We came into Emmerdale at the same time.

I’m disabled and playing a disabled character, he’s trans and playing a trans character so we bonded early on because of the commonalities we have,” James said. “In the last year, seeing him more outside of work, we’ve become so much closer. He’s met all my friends from Cheltenham and we’re planning when we’ll.
