Liam Fox is widely known during his tenure playing Dan Spencer in Emmerdale between 2011 and 2023. As fans will likely recall, the character Dan was sentenced to eight years in prison, for the manslaughter of Lloyd Sawyer, after defending his daughter Amelia. After deciding that Dan had preempted his attack on Lloyd, the judge decided to make an example of Dan.
Even a heartfelt speech from Dan, couldn't win the tough judge over. From car park to lake! 🛠️ Liam said: “I came out of Emmerdale in July of 2023, a couple of months later I started panto and then into this (a stage production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang). It has been pretty much non-stop.
“Emmerdale was fantastic in many, many ways. It was 12 years, maybe I’ll go back one day, maybe I won’t. Whatever job you do, when you have been there 12 years, you need a change of scene.
I’m glad I’ve had it.” He told : “I don’t miss the job (at Emmerdale), at the minute, as I was there for so long. "I’m still in touch with the people, all my best mates there.
In fact, a lot of my mates who were in the show have left now like my screen daughter (Daisy Campbell). "Tony Audenshaw, who plays Bob, has come to see the show. Chris Chittel has been as has Lesley Dunlop.
A lot of people have been. “Dan is only in prison. So to a certain extent I feel as though Dan, as a person, is still in the show.
He’s just not on screen. I’m just enjoying life and moving on.” “It depends if the writers come up with som.
