EMMERDALE viewers have slammed the latest development in a storyline featuring show legend Kim Tate. The character - played by Claire King - has a long history with the ITV soap. Since returning to the programme, Kim has been the owner of Home Farm for several years while she later married Will Taylor (Dean Andrews).

Over the past few months, Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) has been plotting to take Kim down . She enlisted the help of Kim's love rival Rose (Christine Tremarco) - the ex-wife of Will (Dean Andrews) - to make it happen. Their scheme has even included Rose impersonating Kim .

Although viewers know Rose was responsible - having paid off a dealer - she slyly staged an intervention to make it appear Kim was at fault. Dawn declared she was moving out and taking her kids with her - believing they wouldn't be safe around Kim.

However, the iconic character decided to pack her own bags and check into a local B&B - despite being the owner of Home Farm. Most read in Soaps It is not the first challenge she's faced in keeping Home Farm, following Caleb's (William Ash) plot to take over the estate. Fans have been left wondering why Kim would concede the property to Will and his family without putting up a fight.

Sharing their thoughts online, as one wrote: "That house is still Kim's, pathetic storyline #emmerdale." Another added: "Not seen #Emmerdale in ages. Why is Kim leaving her OWN home?" A third chimed in: "The Kim Tate we actually know and love would not allow herself to be disrespected in her house like this and would’ve kicked these twats out a *long* time ago.
