Emmanuel Christian school is hosting a family fun way to celebrate with its Turkey Trot on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 9 a.m.

to 2 p.m. “This event is important because it will enable us to further the mission and vision of Emmanuel Christian School,” said Tammy Loyed, executive assistant of administration.



“All profits will go towards making school repairs, consolidating bills and other necessities.” This event will include a One Mile Fun Run with a $10 entrance fee, and a deejay for music entertainment. There will be multiple food vendors from the Wiregrass area, including Greek Street of Dothan, Street Tacos, 3D Farms with corn and candy apples, Mills Produce with boiled peanuts, Hot Dog Truck, Cakes By Selene, Sno Birds Snow Cones ,and Sweet Toof Candy.

In addition to food vendors there will also be craft vendors -- Clarks Leather Works, Slocomb Creations Wood Works, MC Customs (The Hat Bar), Dixie Fowler (christmas ornaments), Car Freshies and Tumblers, Homemade Soaps, Bath Salts and Lotions, Deep South Archery, Gift Baskets, Bloom By Grace Door Hangers, Halo Wreaths, Courtney's Creations (t-shirts), and face painting. Parents can pay $10 to drop their kids off in the Kid Zone for children ages kindergarten through 5th grade or they can pay and stay with their younger children. There will also be a train, inflatables, and lots of games.

Adults can bid on numerous items including local artist paintings from Gaye Lynn Morgan, Lori Bighems, and M. Sawyers in a silent au.
