Matt Willis admitted his wife, Emma, was 'worried' when he reunited with Busted last year. The parents of three, who are the new hosts of Love Is Blind UK, have been married since 2008, but their relationship was tested in 2023 when 41-year old Matt - who has battled drug and alcohol addiction - went on tour. Speaking to the Mirror last year when he hooked up with his Year 3000 bandmates after a lengthy hiatus, the star said: "Being on tour has been a moment of relapse for me again and again and again.

" He then said of 48-year-old Emma: "Our life is really great...

and a lot of people say to me: 'Matt, why do you put yourself in a dangerous situation?' And it’s because I love it, and I really do, and I feel passionate about it, and I’m capable of doing that clean and sober. Emma understandably worries about that, but I think she can see the work that I put in." At the peak of his addiction, Matt, who has been sober for six years, admitted he was taking six grams of cocaine a day as he opened up about his previous drug addiction i n a powerful documentary called Fighting Addiction.

The BBC programme looked at how his battle with drink and drugs was affecting his relationship with Emma and their three kids Isabelle, 14, and Trixie, eight, and Ace, 12. Emma admitted she was initially nervous to share the family's private life with the world , telling the documentary: "Matt and I have always tried to keep ourselves as private as we can whilst working in a very public industry. So, as you can probably imagine, we’re incredibly nervous about this film going out into the world.

" She added: "As humans, we’re all imperfect, and we shouldn’t feel like we have to hide certain parts of ourselves to be loved. Ultimately it was our love and hard graft that have got us to where we are now." The couple are now in a good place as the new series of Love Is Blind, which they are hosting together, drops on Netflix on Wednesday, August 7.

This marks the first time the unconventional dating show has made its way to the UK and will be released on Netflix in three parts. The fresh series will feature 30 contestants who are seeking love based on personality, not looks, hoping to find a spouse without ever laying eyes on them. Praising the show, speaking to the Express , Matt said: "It kind of hits you in the feels and you want these people to win.

There's no kind of evil characters or anything...

You just want people to fall in love, you know, and I like that." Emma added: "And I think, also, at the end of it there's a legal wedding right? So it's like, you can't enter into it lightly." Follow Mirror Celebs on TikTok , Snapchat , Instagram , Twitter , Facebook , YouTube and Threads.
