Thursday, October 3, 2024 Emirates , the world’s leading international airline, has reinstated its passenger flights to Lagos, Nigeria, offering a daily service. The inaugural flight featured a distinguished delegation, including Adil Al Ghaith, Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations for the Gulf, Middle East, and Central Asia; David Broz, Senior Vice President of Aeropolitical and Airline Industry Affairs; and Sami Aqil Abdullah, Senior Vice President of Emirates Airport Services Outstation and Business Support. Representing Nigeria, the official delegation onboard included His Excellency Festus Keyamo, Nigeria’s Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development; His Excellency Zayyan Ibrahim, Consul General of Nigeria in Dubai and the Northern Emirates; and Adewale Babtunde Awolesi, Head of Chancery at the Nigerian Consulate.
Upon arrival, Emirates hosted an exclusive gathering for VIPs, government officials, key representatives from Nigeria’s Civil Aviation Authority, Federal Airports Authority, Customs, Police, and Airforce, along with industry partners and corporate clients.
