Where have you just come back from? “I’ve been promoting the show Emily In Paris so we just did several countries in two weeks. We went to Montreal, Los Angeles , Rome , Krakow, Paris , then New York . So I just got back to LA last week from those crazy travels.

” Which is your favourite city? “I don’t have a favourite city. They’re like human beings – too complex to be classified. But I moved to LA for my career, and I really like the lifestyle, the sun.

I take my car and go for a hike in Runyon Canyon. Then I drive 20 minutes and I’m at the Santa Monica beach. There are a lot of options for different diets in LA.

I have a lot of vegan friends, so they can eat wherever and whenever they can. I'm vegetarian now and have a lot of options here.” Where in the world have you felt happiest? “I’m happiest either in those moments when I'm left alone and can enjoy quality time on my own, or the moments when I'm surrounded by my loved ones.

It doesn’t matter where.” Name a place that lived up to the hype? “My expectations are low in everything I do, so I’m always pleasantly surprised. When I see something for the first time, I’m always blown away; it's always positive.

I still have that child-like view of things. I arrived in Montreal at night, and looked outside my window, and I'm like, ‘Wait, are we in New York?’ I realised it was a fusion of different cities. It has a European vibe and American vibe and it’s all mashed up together.

That's pretty.
