The Inbetweeners star confirmed she was six months pregnant in March, as she shared a rough idea of her due date with her fans. She shared the news during a BBC Breakfast appearance, where she also confirmed she was expecting a baby boy. Emily's appearance was to discuss the campaign to introduce affirmative consent in relationships.

She explained how she wanted to bring about a change to sex consent laws for both men and women, by backing a campaign by Right To Equality. Emily said: 'I'm six months [pregnant] and I wasn't going to say this, but I am going to say this - I'm having a boy .' She revealed to the panel how excited she was to welcome her baby and said that she felt 'extremely connected' to her body now more than ever. 'I used to get told off by my friends for not looking after myself enough and staying up too late and all of that and now I'm like, 'No, my body is a vessel''.
