Emilia Pérez OTT Release: The upcoming musical drama starring Selena Gomez will be available for streaming on Netflix on November 13th. The film also won the Jury Prize and Best Actress award at the Cannes. Plot The story of the film follows the life of 3 women one of which is a lawyer and is stuck in her dead-end job.
One of them is a Cartel leader, a head of the criminal organization who controls the price and supply of illegal drugs. The Drug cartels are made of independant drugs lords who work together to earn the profit and dominate the illegal trade. Meanwhile, the fearsome lawyer named Emili is trapped in a job where she is not appreciated and not even happy.
However, after being fed up from her life, Emilia decides to come up with a plan and fakes her own death in order to go away from her past and begin a new life with a new identity. The film follows the life of 3 women in Mexico who are struggling to find peace and happiness and in order to achieve that they confront many battles and struggles and different challenges. The entire film revolves around the lives of these 3 women, how they cope and fight their battles and face the fears and hardships in the most challenging times.
However, the idea of the film is derived from Boris Razon’s novel. The film was premiered at the 77th Cannes Film Festival on 18th may 2024. It was released in theaters on 21st August 2024 and was selected for the French entry for best international feature film at the 97th Academy award.
