Bollywood actor and MP Kangana Ranaut earlier this year began are journey as a politician. Recently she confessed that her political career has had serious implications on her film career but she is set to come back with an anticipated film Emergency. She will be seen playing the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the lead role.

The trailer shows that the film will begin with the rise of Indira Gandhi in politics and her entire career until the end. We can expect to see many historial political and army personalities through the film. Taking to her social media account the actress shared the first full-length trailer of the film.



Calling it the darkest time of the nation, she captioned the post as, "INDIA is INDIRA & INDIRA is INDIA!!! The Most Powerful Woman In The History of the country, The Darkest Chapter She Wrote in its History! Witness ambition collide with tyranny." She wrote on X, "From the conception of the idea to see the film on the big screen, nothing is more gratifying than being a film maker.

Today is a very special day, on the trailer launch of my directorial Emergency the journey of Emergency from me to you begins." Emergency earlier was set to be released on June 14 but was postponed due to Lok Sabha elections. For the unversed, during the elections of 2024, Kangana won the Mandi Lok Sabha seat of Himachal Pradesh on a Bharatiya Janata Party ticket.
