Thursday, August 29, 2024 This month marked a significant phase in the construction of the Emerald Cruises’ latest vessel, the Emerald Kaia, as the initial stages of building its hull began with the cutting of the first steel sheets. Taking place at the Halong Shipbuilding Company in Vietnam, the event was attended by notable figures including Nguyen Tuan Anh, the shipyard’s general director, and Ivo Skelin, who oversees the nautical and technical operations at Scenic Group. Plans are in place for the keel-laying ceremony, an important tradition in shipbuilding, which is scheduled to occur in three months.

The yacht, which measures 393 feet in length, is set to launch in April 2026. It is designed to offer luxury accommodations for up to 128 guests and will feature an array of high-end amenities. These include a newly designed sky deck with private cabanas, a versatile indoor/outdoor sky lounge, a marina complemented by a cozy marina lounge, a sun deck perfect for observation, and extensive wellness facilities including a spa and fitness center.

This development underscores Emerald Cruises’ commitment to expanding its fleet with sophisticated, guest-centric vessels, setting new standards in maritime luxury and comfort..
