Monday, September 16, 2024 Embraer, the world’s third-largest aircraft manufacturer, is set to unveil its cutting-edge aircraft and solutions from its commercial aviation, defense, and executive jet portfolios at the Bali Airshow, scheduled for September 18-21 at Ngurah Rai International Airport. Attendees can explore scale models of Embraer’s latest aircraft, including the E2 family of small narrowbody jets and the versatile C-390 Millennium military transport, showcased at Booth B11 in Hall B. Embraer has a strong presence in Indonesia, with the Indonesian Air Force operating A-29 Super Tucano aircraft, and a significant number of Embraer business jets serving the country.

PT Wira Jasa Angkasa (WJA) is the authorized service center for Embraer Executive Jets in Indonesia. The E2 family, comprising the E190-E2 and E195-E2 models, can accommodate 114 and 146 passengers, respectively. Known for being the quietest and most fuel-efficient single-aisle aircraft in production, the E2 series offers class-leading economic performance and sustainability.

With a flight range exceeding six hours, it provides airlines the flexibility to establish new regional connections. For example, Scoot, a Singapore Airlines subsidiary, will begin flights between Singapore and Kertajati International Airport (KJT) on September 28, 2024, using the E190-E2. The C-390 Millennium stands out for its payload capacity of 26 tons, higher speed (470 knots), and longer range than other medium-sized military transports.

It is capable of performing various missions, including cargo and troop transport, medical evacuation, search and rescue, firefighting, and humanitarian operations, even on temporary or unpaved runways. In its KC-390 variant, equipped for air-to-air refueling, the aircraft can function as both a tanker and receiver, making it highly versatile in complex military operations. Currently, the C-390 fleet in service with the Brazilian and Portuguese Air Forces has accumulated over 14,000 flight hours, boasting a mission-capable rate of 93% and mission completion rates exceeding 99%, underscoring its exceptional reliability and efficiency in the field.
