Thursday, November 14, 2024 Embraer has secured the top spot in the 6th Global KAIZENTM Award, an international recognition for outstanding business excellence practices that drive efficiency improvements and create greater value for society. This marks the first time a Brazilian company has claimed the prestigious first-place position. The announcement was made during a ceremony in São Paulo, Brazil, hosted by the Kaizen Institute.

The award evaluated companies from 15 countries that have successfully implemented sustainable improvement strategies based on the Kaizen methodology—a Japanese philosophy centered on achieving significant progress through small, continuous improvements. “This award is a great recognition of the efforts of all our employees who strengthen Embraer’s culture of excellence every day,” said Luís Carlos Marinho , Executive Vice President of Operations at Embraer. “We are very honored by this unique achievement that demonstrates that we are working with effective foundations to build a sustainable future.

” Embraer earned its nomination for the prestigious Global KAIZENTM Award after clinching the regional title earlier this year in the “Excellence in Quality” category. Since 2007, Embraer has adopted Lean principles as a foundational business strategy, fueling the success of its Enterprise Excellence Program (P3E). This initiative integrates principles, concepts, and practices to spearhead transformative improvements across the organ.
