Following Donald Trump's Presidential election win Ellen DeGeneres and her wife have reportedly moved to England and will likely “never” return to the US. An anonymous source close to the couple told The Wrap that DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have already moved to the Cotswolds region in England and have put up their Montecito, California estate up for sale. According to the source, the couple will never return to the United States.

If true, this would make DeGeneres the second high-profile name to flee the country after the incoming President’s win . Last week, it was reported that Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria has already moved out of the US and splits her time between Spain and Mexico .

Longoria explained of her move: “I’m privileged. I get to escape and go somewhere. Most Americans aren’t so lucky.

They’re going to be stuck in this dystopian country, and my anxiety and sadness is for them.” It’s been a while since she lived in LA, but she explained that Trump’s victory was what solidified her desire to spend less time in the city – and her country as a whole. As for DeGeneres, she’s stepped out of the spotlight after the conclusion of her final stand up comedy tour and the release of her Netflix comedy special, which was panned by critics .
