Elizabeth Bell Chen May 11, 1991 – August 1, 2024 Elizabeth Lynn Bell was born on May 11, 1991, in Lake Jackson, Texas, to James and Joan Bell, and passed on August 1, 2024, in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Her brother, Michael, was born and joined their family in September 1994. From a young age Elizabeth was a very caring and considerate person.

She loved her family and had a wonderful childhood in Lake Jackson with many important adults and friends who impacted her life. She was always surrounded by her family in Lake Jackson, Austin, and Belton and loved all of her cousins deeply. Growing up Elizabeth enjoyed dance, cheer, and the Buc band.



She was an active member at Chapelwood United Methodist Church throughout her time in Lake Jackson, where she was baptized, confirmed, and married. After graduating from Brazoswood High School in 2009, Elizabeth became a Baylor Bear and attended Baylor University where she graduated in 2013 with a Bachelors of Science in Education. While at Baylor, she was active in the ZTA sorority and took two mission trips to Kenya, Africa.

Elizabeth met her husband Daniel in 2003 at Lake Jackson Intermediate School. They began dating their senior year at Brazoswood and throughout College. They married each other in Chapelwood on July 13, 2013.

As an Air Force Couple, they moved 7 times across 6 states. Elizabeth was an active military spouse and loved to help other military families. Elizabeth and Daniel traveled to so many beautiful places and explored all the places they called home.

Elizabeth was full of joy and made lifelong friendships no matter where she was. She loved BIG, and everyone loved her genuine demeanor that just drew people to her. She enjoyed celebrating both the simple and large things, always making others feel special.

Elizabeth truly was beautiful inside and out. Elizabeth enjoyed teaching, reading, spending time at the beach, creating a beautiful home, cheering on the Baylor Bears, and loving their dog Chloe. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her great-grandmother Evelyn Taylor; grandparents, Jim and Jean Bell; grandfather, Jim Ferrell; uncle, Larry Bell; aunt, Sandra Taylor; and cousin, Keith Payne.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Daniel Chen; her parents, James and Joan Bell; her brother Michael Bell; her Grandmother Barbara Ferrell; her aunts and uncles, Cindy and Randy McDougal, Janice and Jesse White, Jeanette and Larry Payne, Kathy Bell, and Allen Taylor; her cousins, including their beautiful children she cherished, Rachel and Jared Kirk, Matthew and Rachel McDougal, Cody and Marina McDougal, Jacob and Debbie McDougal, Clinton and Julie McDougal, Katherine and Chris Golze, Lauren White, Jason and Alyssa Payne, Jeffrey and Ale Payne, JW and Krystal Bell, Brandon and Jenna Bell, and Justin and Amber Bell; and her in-laws, Wu and Amy Chen and Tiffany Chen. Services will be held at Chapelwood United Methodist Church in Lake Jackson, Texas, on Wednesday, August 14, 2024. Visitation will start at 2:30 p.

m. with the celebration of life immediately following at 3:30 p.m.
