Elizabeth Banks is stepping out to promote her new movie. The 50-year-old actress posed for photos at the a screening of her new movie Skincare on Tuesday evening (August 13) held at the Crosby Hotel in New York City. Elizabeth dazzled in a shimmering silver dress paired with a black blazer, tights, and heels as she was joined at the screening by director Austin Peters and producer Jonathan Schwartz .

Here’s the movie’s synopsis: “Famed aesthetician Hope Goldman ( Banks ) is about to take her career to the next level by launching her very own skincare line, but her personal and work lives are challenged when rival facialist Angel Vergara ( Luis Gerardo Méndez ) opens a new skincare boutique directly across from her store. She starts to suspect that someone is trying to sabotage her reputation and business, and together with her friend Jordan ( Lewis Pullman ) she embarks on a mission to unravel the mystery of who is trying to destroy her life.” In a new interview, Elizabeth recalled a “terrifying” choking incident on set of the movie.
