Rep. Adam Schiff quickly soared to victory in California’s U.S.
Senate race Tuesday , coming out ahead of former Dodgers star Steve Garvey. The contest was called by the Associated Press and other news organizations as soon as the polls closed in California. Garvey, addressing his supporters in Rancho Mirage, congratulated Schiff on the win.
The Burbank congressman, in turn, told his crowd in Los Angeles that he wishes Garvey well and will “join him in celebrating” the Dodgers’ recent World Series win.
