Elan Group has awarded a construction contract worth over Rs 500 crore to Leighton Asia, a company under Australia’s CIMIC Group. The contract is for the development of Elan Imperial, a new commercial mall in Sector 82, Gurugram . The project includes a retail mall, a five-star hotel, and branded residences, covering around 9 acres with a built-up area of about 2.
5 million square feet. In August 2023, Leighton Asia was also awarded a Rs 1,000 crore contract to construct Elan Group’s residential project, Elan The Presidential, in Sector 106, Gurugram. Elan Imperial is planned to be Gurugram's first luxury mall.
Construction is expected to start in November 2024. Elan Group’s chairman, Rakesh Kapoor, mentioned the group's aim to create a significant spot for shopping, dining, and leisure in Gurugram through this project..
