Eileen Wilma Kelm, 98, passed away on October 25, 2024, at her home in Fargo, ND. Eileen was born on September 26, 1926, to Erwin and Vieta Fraase in Sheldon, ND. She attended Sheldon Elementary School.
The family moved to Enderlin, ND where she attended Jr. and Sr. High School.
Eileen married Erich Kelm on February 21, 1943. They lived in Liberty Township where they farmed, raised chickens and hogs. In 1957, they sold the farm and moved to Fargo due to Erich’s poor health.
Eileen attended Hairdressing Academy in Fargo. After graduation, she began her career at Fashion Beauty Salon. In 1960, they moved back to Enderlin.
They purchased the Kelm farm and a beauty salon in Enderlin. She was active at Trinity Lutheran Church. In 1965, they moved back to Fargo where she established a Beauty Salon in her home.
Erich passed away on March 4, 1982 but she remained in Fargo. She enjoyed being involved in the Ladies Ministry and on the church council at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. From 1987-1989, she moved to Texas to live with her son, Lee and be close to her daughter, Lois.
From 1989-2012, she moved into a home on Little Cormorant Lake in MN. She enjoyed the fellowship at St. Peter’s Church in rural Audubon, MN.
In 2012, she and Lee moved into a home in Fargo. They enjoyed the fellowship at Atonement Lutheran Church in Fargo where she was always ready to be of help. Her smile and thoughtful acts of giving food to neighbors and friends will always be remembered.
