Tuesday, January 21, 2025 The Events Industry Council (EIC), has announced its 2025 Board of Directors, reflecting a strategic expansion and restructuring to ensure continuity and broader representation. The restructured board now includes four officers, introducing the new position of Treasurer, who will automatically advance to Chair-Elect. Additionally, the board comprises seven at-large association seats and two at-large representatives from EIC’s corporate membership.
Senthil Gopinath, CEO of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), transitions to Chair of EIC, having served as Chair-Elect in 2024. With over two decades of experience in the global meetings, association, and leisure industry, Gopinath is recognized for his leadership and commitment to advancing the business events sector. Stephanie Harris, President of the Incentive Research Foundation (IRF), has been elected as Chair-Elect, positioning her to serve as Chair in 2026.
Jason Dunn, CEO of the National Coalition of Black Meeting Professionals, assumes the role of Treasurer and is slated to become Chair in 2027. Ana María Viscasillas, MBA, CDME, Board Liaison for COCAL, will serve as Immediate Past Chair on the 2025 Board.
